Just the Start

 Hello Sisters!

We have been talking as a Presidency about different ways to reach out to you sisters and connect ourselves as a Relief Society for a while and always just seem to go in circles. Thankfully the Lord has blessed me (and you) with inspired counselors who asked, "Are we really reaching out in every way we can?"

I LOVE to write and I have actually been thinking all of COVID that maybe starting a blog for Relief Society would be a thing I could do, but I got self conscious about how I write, whether people would read it etc. But when my counselor said that I thought, "You know what, this is something I e
njoy. And even if writing it only brings ME happiness, that's still a good thing."

That said, I don't want to be the only one adding content! If you all like to write or know someone who does, tell me and we can add posts from them too. This is a COMMUNITY not, Sarah speaks to you haha. (No one wants that.) And we can have fun and add recipes, videos, show off peoples talents. This is YOUR place. Tell us what you like and don't like (be gentle, were human haha) and what you want to see more of.

I have missed being in Relief Society with you sisters so much. Before I got this calling I hadn't been in Relief Society for years. I didn't realize how much your inspired comments during lessons or your spirit of friendship was needed in my life. I find during this time THAT is what I miss- your spirits and testimonies and love. I hope we can find ways to enjoy that feeling still.

In
Elder Uchtdorfs talk this past October Conference
he said, "we might have been so tied to traditional approaches that it took a pandemic to open our eyes." Were going to try and embrace the untraditional and grow and find joy. "...though at times we may feel buried by the trials of life or surrounded by emotional darkness, the love of God and the blessings of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ will bring something unimaginable to spring forth."
