Relief Society Theme 2021

The church comes out with yearly themes for our youth and for the primary children, but not for the adults. The stake however, has always encouraged us to come up with a goal or a statement for people to focus on during the year.

Last year we chose a scripture from Nephi that said HOLD FAST. This turned out to be more poignant than any of us probably wanted.

I asked my presidency to brainstorm some ideas for this year. When we had our last meeting and put all our ideas together it was amazing how similar they all were. And how they all came from our personal goals. Someone whose goal was to remember to "fear not for the Lord thy God is with thee." Someone else who just wanted to get their anxiety in check and find joy.

So our Relief Society Theme for 2021 comes from a very personal place
in our hearts, and from Doctrine and Covenants chapter 68 verse 6.

Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you.

We hope as we all work to recover from the crap shoot that was 2020, that we will find joy in Christ. That we will pray to the Lord to have our fears comforted. And that we will always remember that we are not alone.

Because God is standing with you. That I don't believe, that I KNOW. And we are standing with you too.

If you guys didn't notice, on our bulletin board each month we are going to feature a recipe. (There is a brown envelope that holds pintable's to take home!) Because feeding people is hard sometimes and its always good to have tried and true yummy things. Just the Start

 Hello Sisters! We have been talking as a Presidency about different ways to reach out to you sisters and connect ourselves as a Relief Society for a while and always just seem to go in circles. Thankfully the Lord has blessed me (and you) with inspired counselors who asked, "Are we really reaching out in every way we can?"  I LOVE to write and I have actually been thinking all of COVID that maybe starting a blog for Relief Society would be a thing I could do, but I got self conscious about how I write, whether people would read it etc. But when my counselor said that I thought, "You know what, this is something I e njoy. And even if writing it only brings ME happiness, that's still a good thing." That said, I don't want to be the only one adding content!
